The Seelie King – Available Now

The Seelie King: Book five in the Big Bad Wolf spinoff series, The Kings.

Tuath Stories remembered the fates of the Wishers well.
Thousands of years ago, the sovereigns of the Fae lands issued a decree: The Wishers would die. Powerful magics were called forth, and in an act never before or since accomplished, both light and dark, both Seelie and Unseelie gathered together in their courts and combined their powers. The Wishers were annihilated.
However… legends told how the strongest and most fortunate few managed to escape and hide themselves amongst humans in the mortal realm.
But thousands of years passed with no sign of these legendary Wishers.
They were declared extinct.
And in its rareness, in its extinctness, the lost, most powerful class of the fae, in fact became sacred.

There are a lot of things Selene Trystaine would change about the world if she could. Injustices press in, apathy reigns, and unkindness seems to have taken hold in the crevices of humanity. So when she learns that she is not who she has always believed herself to be and destiny presents her with her birthright, she must battle with her inner demons, even while the handsome and powerful king of those who’d once attempted to destroy her kind discovers her – and begins an all-out attack of seduction on her senses.

No one knows Avery’s true name. He’s the king of the Seelie Fae, a powerful and ancient man who has ruled a beautiful and dangerous world in solitude for longer than human history has been recorded. And he has no reason to believe this solitude will ever change…. Until the other sovereigns of the thirteen kingdoms begin finding their queens one after another. And suddenly, on a hot Spring day, Selene Trystaine appears beside the river Thames like a mirage made real.

A fiery soul, a gift of untold magic, and a Changeling without a clue as to who she is are about to turn the supernatural world upside down. But as a new and terrible war is sparked between good and evil, and the losses become insurmountable, Selene and Avery are going to learn that no matter who or what you are… you must be careful what you wish for.

Im not seeing it listed online, will it be avialable at barnes and noble for nooks?

  2. HRKW says:

Hello Melinda. Yes, it will be available for Nook and Kindle, and hopefully all of the platforms that Smashwords supplies as well. However, indie books are never available for pre-order, as books become available for normal purchase the moment they are posted. The Seelie King will be available on the 15th.

Love all your books but totally going gaga waiting for QoA. I know you can’t rush amazing-and the last thing I want to be is one of those people stomping their feet, cause, I’m totally not. Just curious if there is an eta on the release. I promise to pre-order. I’ve practically memorized DoT. I’ve read all your work, but Chosen Soul is a fast favorite for me. Thank you.

  4. Melinda says:

Just downloaded the Seelie King and am dying to read it, but know if I start now, work in the morning will be a bear! lol!!! Is there anyway I could post a quiet suggestion to you regarding a quirk for the King’s series? Am just a private person and whether you would decide to use it for future reference is something that would be entirely up to you. Plus, I don’t know many readers who wouldn’t get a kick out of knowing their favorite author thought one of their suggestions worthy of notice. Love, love, love your books.

  7. HRKW says:

Hi Sybil! I want to first tell you, thank you so much for reading and enjoying my work. 🙂 I love my readers and truly appreciate them, every single one.
As far as suggestions for future books are concerned, to be honest, I shy away from them from my readers for various reasons, but one of them is probably more important or essential than the others, and that is that allowing readers to suggest plots, characters, twists, etc. can lead to legal repercussions. First off, it’s possible, if not probable, that the author already has that idea. Then, when the reader comes up with it, the author will have to get rid of it and go another route, which is no fun for anyone. Secondly, the reason she would have to do this is because using someone else’s idea, even if it was hers first, can mean that later on, the person who made the suggestion might get bold, misunderstand their copyrights or legal rights, and demand that they are compensated. This is very rare, and always winds up in favor of the author because it’s ridiculous, but I would rather steer clear of the hassle altogether, as would most authors. If you visit other author pages, you’ll see that most of them have notices to their readers asserting that they will not read any writing or suggestions given by anyone else and that anything of such that is sent to them will be destroyed without ever having been opened. Again, for legal reasons. So, in short, though I’m sure whatever it is you’re thinking is fun or exciting, I would hope that you can trust me to make an equally fun or exciting series in the coming books. 🙂 xoxo

While browsing audible I came across The Kings series. Great job! I love them so far. My question is will all the books in the series be available on audio? It makes for an interesting commute to work!

  9. HRKW says:

Hi Jamala, I’m afraid that the rest of the Kings series will not be available in audio. 🙁 xo

  10. Sue smith says:

    Hi,

Love your books, the only issue I have is that I read them too quickly which then causes me to wait what feels like an age for the next instalment!

When will the Unseelie king be available?

  11. Monica M. says:

When will the Unseelie King be out? How often will the King series be released? I read them fast cause I LOVE this series! LOL. You probably got all kinds of projects going but I was curious?

  12. HRKW says:

    Hi Monica,
I don’t have specific release dates for any of my series at this juncture, as I release them as fate allows me to. At times, my life eases up on me a bit and I can release them every four to six months. At other times, it takes longer. I am trying for the former for the Unseelie King. 🙂 xoxo – Heather

  13. B Parker says:

I absolutely love the Big Bad Wolf & The Kings series and have bought the kindle and audio versions of both series. The Seelie King is the only book not currently in audio. Are there future plans to release an audio version of that book via Audible? Thanks!

  14. HRKW says:

Hi B! I hope so. As of this moment, I have a lot of readers asking Tantor to sign on with the rest of The Kings series, but they only sign a few books in a series at a time, and that ended after the first four. So I’m just waiting now… Send Tantor a message? I hope the rest of the books are released in audio as well. 🙂 xo – Heather
