Warrior’s Angel, coming August 10th

Warrior's Angel, coming August 10, 2014

Michael Salvatore is a seasoned detective with the NYPD. The six-foot-two hard body with piercing blue eyes is smart, fast, and never fails to get his guy. But Detective Salvatore is also Michael – the Warrior Archangel, and the last of the Four Favored who came to Earth two thousand years ago to find the women, the archesses, who had been lost to them. He’s lead angel armies for millennia, and there isn’t a case he can’t crack, but this time, the Warrior Archangel has bitten off more than he can chew. Because this time, his target is his archess, a warrior in her own rights with no intention of losing any battles – especially when it comes to fighting him.

Rhiannon Dante is a woman who has combatted the world’s villains her entire life. A beautiful orphan with a checkered past, a hot head, and a large dose of supernatural power, she spends her days rescuing innocents, and her nights preparing for her next dangerous, covert job. She’s careful, well connected, and determined. But no one is perfect. And one day, she slips up – and Detective Michael Salvatore comes knocking on her door, turning her world completely upside down.

While Michael struggles to control a curse that plagues him with newly acquired very dark and very dangerous powers, and Rhiannon contends with an entire species bent on enslaving her, the two fated lost angels face one another in a battle of wills and undeniable desire that will either bring them together forever – or destroy them once and for all.

Warrior’s Angel is book five in The Lost Angels series by New York Times bestselling author Heather Killough-Walden, and follows Always Angel, Avenger’s Angel, Messenger’s Angel, and Death’s Angel.

  1. I am so looking forward to reading this one. I love this series!

  2. kelticat says:

Is it e-book only, or will there be a dead-tree version? Because I would buy either or even both.

  3. HRKW says:

Hi Kelticat! This one is eBook-only at the moment, except in Germany where they are printing German copies. I am considering a print-on-demand kind of thing for some of my books at a later date, but for now it’s live-tree version only. 🙂

  4. Stephanie Dagger says:

I was wondering if you would notify me when paperbacks are available. I am waiting for a paper copy, I really dont much like ebooks if I have a choice 🙂

  5. HRKW says:

Hello Stephanie – There is no way for an author to individually notify readers of upcoming releases, print or otherwise. They normally do so via Facebook, newsletters, Twitter, etc. However, in this case, it’s rather a moot point, because Warrior’s Angel won’t be coming out in print form, I’m afraid. I would love it if it did, but Warrior and Samael are not contracted for with a good print publisher. Until they are, they will be in eBook format only. I do hope you’ll give it a read anyway, as it’s the best in the series so far – read the reviews. 🙂 I’m immensely proud of it and I had a blast writing it. Thank you – Heather

Thanks. Loved the little red dragon, btw.

  7. Stephanie Dagger says:

Thanks for responding. Sorry, I guess I should have worded that better. I didn’t expect a personal email or anything. I was not sure how to go about getting notification of book printing. Facebook is so hit or miss lately with how they limit the posts that are seen. I’ll try liking your page and hope for the best.

    Thanks, S Dagger

Hi Stephanie – You know what, come here instead (https://www.facebook.com/killoughwalden) and “friend” me. This is the first place I post ALL of my release news, plus teasers and contests and giveaways that I don’t do anywhere else. Now you shouldn’t miss out at all. 🙂 xo – Heather

  9. Jennifer Stewart says:

I was wondering when your book warrior’s angel will be out in paper back or hardcover book. I do not listen to books on cd. Also do to the fact I get severe migrains I do not own a nook book or stay on a computer long. Can you please let me know something about the regular book as I have been waiting since death’s angel came out in January of last year for this book.

thank you for your time. Jennifer

  10. Hey,

I’m a really big fan. I think you’re books are so unique and fun. Really enjoyed The Lost Angels series and can’t wait to see what you do next. Are you enjoying self-publishing?

  11. Sapphire says:

I am EXTREMELY disappointed to find out that this is ONLY being realeased in Australia as an Audio!!!I am already part way thru the 3rd novel and I will NOT be finishing the series, nor will I be purchasing ANY of the other books by this Author!!!I have WASTED my $ on paperbacks that are now useless to meA HUGE let down Heather. I am lost for words

  12. HRKW says:

Hi Jennifer – I would love to see the rest of the Lost Angels series in print, but unfortunately, due to non-negotiable factors, the print contract ended with Death’s Angel. I think it’s always a good idea to let publishers know that you’d love to see the rest of the series in print. You can contact Penguin through its website and I believe also its Facebook page. 🙂 – Heather p.s. I’m sorry to hear about your migraines; I get them too. 🙁

  13. Alicia says:

    Hi Heather,
I’m reading the lost angel series on Google play books. I’ve read the first four but there is no sign of Warriors Angel. I’ve searched online and it seems only available on kindle. I don’t want to create an account on something for only one book.

So in all, will it be coming out as an e-book on more apps/sights? Because I would love to continue reading the series. I really want to see what Michael has gotten himself into with Samael.

  14. HRKW says:

Hi Alicia! Warrior’s Angel was submitted to Smashwords in August, when it released, so it should be available via every outlet Smashwords delivers to (such as Kobo, Sony, etc.). I’m not certain whether Google is part of that group, but if it is, then it should show up there any time now. Thank you!
